Aditi Mangaldas opened the show and within the first few minutes established that this was no ordinary performance….She ( Aditi ) performed the most sublime kathak. The form was putty in her hands, to be pulled and skewed and twisted until she could give it the three dimensional quality of a sculptor…..Always moving and changing with lightening speed and fierce attack…..The use of music was sensationally original. The unadorned accompaniment was highly effective.

Aditi Mangaldas Dance Company – The Drishtikon Dance Foundation performed excerpts from old productions….the scrupulously well knit, professional display underlined good taste…Aditi’s solo caught sensitive whiffs of life’s mystic search for that illusive, undefined love….The “Samvet” excerpt became a delicate essay in suggesting wafting fragrances and messages spread by unseen wind, through light footed movements- rendered to silence and poetry of Faiz Ahmad Faiz….

Dancing to the tune of time….kathak dancer Aditi Mangaldas re-interpreted the paintings of German master painter Siegward Sprotte…….a simultaneous dialogue between the three art forms of painting, music and dance that explored the timeless present.
Suruchi Mishra, The Pioneer, Nov.10, 2009, Delhi

The premier of “ Now Is”…was a resounding success….Aditi has shared the improvisation and spontaneity of kathak with that of the paintings and the music, with perfectly superb synchronization….The most important constituents of the production are the imposing images of Sprotte’s paintings that keep changing instantly along with the music, creating the vibrant background for the dance.

Of the classicists, Aditi Mangaldas’s precision- tooled kathak commands time – slowing movement to a dream, then setting her arms flashing like swords.
David Jays, The Sunday Times, Nov.29th, 2009, London

TIMELESS, a rich textured and multi- layered dance production ……Bursting with high energy, it was a dazzling performance by well trained dancers displaying excellent technique…..using Kathak as a springboard she ( Aditi ) cuts across its boundaries to create her exciting signature blend of traditional and new movement vocabulary… India based Aditi Mangaldas needs to be seen more widely in this country so that the audiences are introduced to her varied work.
Sushma Mehta, Pulse, London, Spring ‘09

Aditi's own superb dancing and excellent technique held the evening together……There are images which one recalls long after the performance is over……. Contemporary Choreography in Indian dance has moved towards abstraction, and a cerebral high, taking audiences to different experiential levels.

‘Timeless’ impressive…Dancers flitting in and out smoothly marking varying permutations of rhythm to the sargam refrain made one wonder how many version of time there were…..Aditi’s choreography….creates, with constantly moving dancers, varying images of time, flowing, staggered, still and intense….Aditi creates a suble work with the evocative music track…
