As dawn breaks, the birds take wing, flowers open their petals And joy fills the air heralding the arrival of the festival of Colours, hori. Exuberance and happiness fills the heart and we play hori in abandon. The heart leaps with surprise and joy as the young Lord Krishna joins in the festivities of the sakhis and sakhas, and plays with colour. Rhythmic dance pieces set in Raag Kafi in Dhamar Taal are Interwoven with the poem, hori, written by poet Bramhananda.

“… par excellence a classical nayika…chiselled uthans, quick silver parans…evoked the kind of glory that should enable her to carry on with a light heart…” – Shanta Serbheet Singh, The Hindustan Times
